Core Values and Beliefs
We are so excited that you have found Bright Lights Theatre! Bright Lights partners with parents and guardians in mentorship and discipleship of their children and teens – especially when it comes to issues concerning the world of theatre.
We hire quality teachers who are experienced in the theatre arts, know God's Word, and align with our core beliefs. Our goal is to come alongside parents with resources and support as they navigate the challenges of raising children in this broken world. We love our students and can't wait to see how God uses them in the theatre world and beyond.

Core Beliefs
Core Values
While educational in purpose, Bright Lights Theatre must always hold to and teach from the core doctrines of Trinitarian Christianity listed below:

God is Triune: One God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus as Savior: He is 100% God and 100% man, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death to take away the sins of the world, was physically resurrected from the dead, reigns at the right hand of the Father today, and will one day return to judge the living and the dead.

Authority and Inerrancy of Scripture: All 66 books of the Bible are true in all they affirm and have ultimate authority.

Creation: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and all that is within them and it was good.

Imago Dei: Humanity is created in the image of God. God created each person with intentional purpose.

Sexuality: We believe that God created marriage to be between one man and one woman. God created man for woman and woman for man and any variation of this goes against God’s design for humanity being created in His image. Bright Lights recognizes that the fallenness of this world results in bent and broken human desires, but we believe the faithful response to those desires is a celibate life devoted to Christ.

Gender: God created man and woman distinctly and saw that it was very good. Therefore, we believe that a faithful life is lived in light of a person’s God-given gender at birth.

Sin: Sin is disobedience to the will of the Father that began with Adam and Eve, was imputed upon all humanity thereafter, and fractured all created things.

Salvation: Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
We have established policies and procedures so that our families, students, staff, and volunteers are informed as to how our programs are run and how we intend to keep everyone safe.
